ESR Project 14

This PhD student will use an optimised dose and route of administration to treat pigs subjected to myocardial infarction with intracardiac delivery of nanoformulated antisense oligonucleotides. The therapeutic benefit will be measured by serial MRI/invasive haemodynamic evaluations, followed by clinical chemistry, immunohistochemical data, liver and kidney sections of the porcine model to test for absence of toxicological side effects.
